ASCENT TO NEVADOS DE SOLLIPULLI,
2 240 m

 “A forgotten giant”.

If we want to talk about one of the most gigantic eruptions occurred in the Andes mountain range, los Nevados de Sollipulli are perhaps the clearest example of the energy our planet discharges. This volcano had its last eruption 1240 years ago, leaving amazing traces which reveal the magnitude of that disaster.

Its crater of almost 5-kilometer diameter and a glacier which extends to 12 kms are just some of the wonders offered by this trekking which has amazing landscapes of the Araucanía. We can say without a doubt that this is one of the most incredible hidden paradises from the ninth region of Chile. After crossing beautiful Araucaria woods and ascend magical sceneries, we get to the highest point of the crater at 2240 meters above sea level, from where you will enjoy amazing views of the glacier and the imposing volcanoes of the area.
