Paris, 28 year-old Chilean, is a CATA A.G. certified Mountain Guide (Association of Adventure Tourism Agencies, Chile). He is teacher of “Leave No Trace program” of NOLS, (National Outdoor Leadership School), he has International Certification in Wilderness First Responder, NOLS and ECOMED. He is also member of the Asociación de Guías de Montaña Pucón (Association of Mountain Guides of Pucón) He was born in the South of Chile and he spent his childhood surrounded by nature. He later studied Media and Communication studies. His passion for climbing and his philosophy of life based in the environment made him change his course and became a professional mountain guide. He has taken part in numerous climbing competitions, and also ascents to the volcanoes of the South and the Central Andes. He has guided more than 400 ascents of the Villarica Volcano and was a volunteer in the Cuerpo de Socorro Andino de Chile (Chilean Mountain Rescue Group) in which he took part in important rescues and searches in the South of Chile. He speaks Spanish and English. |
